TrueFlow is a sheet metal and ductwork business serving Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), Nova Scotia. This policy explains what we do with the information you share with us.

Overview

TrueFlow is operated by Caleb Pardy, a sheet metal tradesperson based in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), Nova Scotia. We collect personal information only to respond to enquiries and quote work. We handle it in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

We collect the information you choose to give us, and a basic record of your visit. There are no accounts and no payments taken on this site.

Contact detailsYour name, email address and phone number.

Project detailsWhat you tell us about the job, your property and any photos you send.

Visit dataThe pages you view, the site that sent you, phone or desktop, your approximate city, and taps on our phone number.

How visit data is recorded. A small script from FullArc, the customer-management system we use, gives each visit a random id stored in your browser (not a cookie). It records the pages you view, the referring site and any campaign tags in the link, whether you are on a phone or a computer, and your approximate location at city level, worked out by FullArc's hosting provider from your connection. It never reads what you type. Your IP address is kept for spam protection and deleted automatically after 90 days. If you send us a form, the visit is linked to your enquiry so we know which page it came from. We do not use visit data for advertising, and it is not shared with anyone else.

How we use your information

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
To arrange and complete sheet metal, ductwork and ventilation work.
To keep a record of the work we have discussed or done for you.
To learn which pages on this site lead people to contact us, so we can improve them.

Quote and contact form submissions are recorded in FullArc, the customer-management system we use, which also delivers our emails to you and to us. FullArc acts on our behalf and processes your information on our instructions only.

No marketing without asking. We do not add you to mailing lists or send promotional messages unless you specifically ask us to.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and project information for as long as needed to provide and stand behind our work, and to meet tax and record-keeping obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it. Visit records are kept with any enquiry they led to; the IP address in them is deleted automatically after 90 days.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you can:

Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
Ask us to delete information we no longer need.
Withdraw consent for optional uses, such as analytics cookies.
Ask us to delete the record of your visits.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share and limit access to those who need it to do the work. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
